Ricardo Fernandez

Ricardo began his career with General Mills in 1999 as a marketing intern.  He joined the company as an Associate Marketing Manager in 2000 and held AMM roles and then Marketing Manager roles in Yoplait, Baking, Meals and Big G Cereals divisons. In 2008, Ricardo was promoted to Marketing Director, Latin America & South Africa region where he developed a marketing structure and advertising agency model for the region.  He then moved to his second international assignment as the Managing Director of General Mills Brazil in Sao Paulo.  There he led the day-to-day operations of the business, played a critical role in M&A assessment and planning, and prepared the organization for the eventual acquisition of Yoki Alimentos.  

Ricardo returned to the U.S. in 2012 and served as the Business Director for Pillsbury frozen products, Totino's and Strategic Growth Channels.  He was promoted to Vice President, Marketing in September 2012.  

In 2014, Ricardo was named Vice President, Marketing for Cereal Partners Worldwide, our joint venture with Nestle, and was based in Lausanne, Switzerland.  In 2016, he was promoted to his current position as Vice President; President, Latin America. 

Ricardo holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Finance and Economics from the University of Florida and an MBA from the University of Michigan.
